Drumreagh Presbyterian Church Ministers

Rev. S Wallace
(1883 – 1930)
The third minister, the Rev Samuel Wallace ordained on 13th November 1883 was born only eight miles from the church in Dunloy in March 1857. On his arrival, Rev Wallace found the church to be in need of repair and began the task of raising the funds to do so. The result of his work was a new pulpit and pine ceiling and ten years later a better heating system was installed. In addition to his position in Drumreagh he was also chaplain of the Route hospital, Ballymoney.
In 1930 on December 31st he decided to retire due to ill health but kept his links with the church for the remaining fifteen years of his life. He died on May 9th 1915 aged eighty-eight.
