Drumreagh Presbyterian Church Ministers

Rev S Thompson
(1878 – 1883)
Rev. Beare’s successor was Rev. Samuel Thompson who was also from Co. Londonderry. He was ordained on 22nd March 1878 aged twenty-five. In his duration as minister of Drumreagh, Rev. Beare regularly assisted the Rev. Thompson despite his ill health.
On June 28th 1883, Rev Thompson left Drumreagh to accept a call from Buncrana in Co. Donegal where he was installed two weeks later. He was also appointed the first Presbyterian chaplain in the N. Ireland Parliament when it was established in 1921. He died on July 10th 1928.
